Children’s Book Week is an annual celebration of books for a week in May, and is the longest–running literacy initiative in the country, having started in 1919.
Children’s book illustrator Christian Robinson designed the official poster for the 98th Children’s Book Week in 2017, shown above.

We have Book Week in Canada too but I’m not sure it runs at the same time as the US one.
I am so behind in most everything in life right now, I had no idea. I’ll have to do some investigating.
Every year I commit to reading at least one “children’s” book. And I always enjoy the fulfillment of that commitment. Thank you for the reminder that it is now midway-2013, and so far I haven’t read one.
